The word “shipping” recalls the classic tall ships of old. This piece also folds out of its own box so it can be “shipped' anywhere by regular mail. My ship-in-box, like a ship-in-a-bottle, is a demonstration of the hobbyist’s craft and child’s wonderment of the pop-out book. My model folds out into a boxed-ship larger than its original package―no assembly required.
